Story So Far

Forever Manchester is Greater Manchester's Community Foundation, the only charity that raises money to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester.

We believe that connected communities make stronger, happier communities. We provide funding for a wide range of community projects such as mental health support groups, disability groups, junior football teams, food banks, refugee support networks, and knit & natter groups.

As more of our everyday lives move online, it's important that everyone has the chance to join in confidently and comfortably and digital inclusion plays a huge part in helping people feel connected.

With support from the Manchester Digital Ball, we can help local groups provide the tools, skills and friendly encouragement people need to get online, whether that's learning how to use a device, accessing essential services, or simply staying in touch with loved ones. By backing community led digital projects, we're making sure that everyone across Greater Manchester can feel included, supported and better connected in an increasingly digital world.

As the chosen charity partner, Forever Manchester will receive all fundraising proceeds from the event. Every donation will go straight into supporting community projects that help people feel included, supported and able to thrive, values that sit at the heart of everything we stand for.

Forever Manchester, founded in 1989, is the community foundation for Greater Manchester that raises money to support grassroots community activity across the region. It provides funding and support to hundreds of local projects every year, from mental-health support groups, food banks and disability groups, to junior football teams, refugee networks, music groups and schemes for older or under-represented people. By doing so, Forever Manchester helps local people come together to build stronger, happier and more inclusive communities - backing small-scale, locally run initiatives that make a real difference on people’s doorsteps. Since its creation, the charity has invested tens of millions of pounds into local communities, ensuring support is available across all neighbourhoods in Greater Manchester.
